I’ll leave the title of this post for any musical fans out there to guess where it comes from :p
After the most surreal working week I can remember (even more so than my last one at Friends Provident!) it is now Friday evening and a lie in beckons Was rather tired today after staying up til almost 3am this morning, once again trying to obtain WoW, and at last it seems to be on its way! Allelujah!
Saw ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get me out of here’ last night (how did it manage to get halfway through without me seeing a single advert for it?? Not that I’m a huge fan - I’m just shocked that my TV viewing has dropped that much!) Anyways, I happened to see it last night and have to say big respect to Paul Burrell for going for it
By the way, if you are into quizes at all, then try this: http://www.arnodewever.com/e/home/index.html - someone at work has near as dammit got the whole office obsessed

Seems an appropriate title as I can’t seem to stop doing it today!
Saw Bridget Jones Edge of Reason and it was fantastic Love that girl!
Speaking of fantastic, the beta for World of Warcraft ended on Thursday so am now waiting (along with several of my friends) for when it gets released and we can play it some more Nice end to the beta all told - the devs sent all their uber nasties to the cities and ganked us all (well, not me as I was being good and doing my essay but it was quite funny watching everyone else get one shotted by lvl 60 chickens!)
Only another 400 words or so of said essay to write now …I think it’s decent as essays go but you can never tell with these things :S Got another couple of weeks before it has to be submitted tho so plenty of fiddling time left yet
Am still trying to lose weight - have resorted to pretty much fruit and a couple of slices of bread to last me until dinner which i refuse to not eat as normal as that’d just be a pain. With that *and* pilates *and* the gym *and* walking to work *and* possible other form of bodily torture inserted elsewhere into week it *has* to pay off! Doesn’t it? Please?

A wee bit tired today Spent from midday yesterday to 3am this morning watching various download progress bars (with a few hours break for essay planning and Holby City) in the quest to install the open beta of World Of Warcraft - *the* much awaited MMORPG from Blizzard (the ones who made Diablo). It was a race to reach 100% done among several of my friends, and after much faff and palava and a good deal of cunning on the part of Kev, we got there in the end! It just better be worth it after all that!
Think I’ve just about decided which essay question to do now (whoo - progess++) and Bridget Jones Diary is booked

Paid the last of the deposit for our holiday this morning so I’m all excited again at the moment! Now just the small matter of saving up for it after xmas……
Was in a good mood before that actually as have got loads of things to look forward to this week. Going out for Pizza Hut and bowling tomorrow night with our ex-housemates who got engaged over the weekend (yay!) and then a friend of ours from uni is coming down over the weekend and we’re going to hopefully go and see Bridget Jones Diary: Edge of Reason which I have been looking forward to ever since I found out there was a sequel to the first book! I *love* that woman!
Haven’t mentioned gaming in a while have I? Have given Sims 2 a break for the past few weeks (overdosed there somewhat!) and after a spell where I wasn’t in the mood to play much, have now got into Age of Mythology at which Kev beats me every time, Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, and have revisited Saga of Ryzom as its having a 14 day free trial. You’ll recall I didn’t much like this the first time round - I’ve gotten more into crafting this time and have to say I’m liking it a lot more
Other than that, essay deadline looms for the 3rd December and am addicted to Strictly Come Dancing
That is all.

Well, I’ve just got back from someone’s birthday meal, having braved the world of socialising on my own for the first time pretty much since I left uni! I hated the journey there and back - everyone just looks like a potential mugger in the dark to me and if getting your heart rate up is the key to burning fat I must be a good stone lighter now than I was a couple of hours ago! And that was taking the bus
Of course, it didn’t help overly that it’s fireworks night tonight - while I enjoy a good firework display with the best of them, I really hate the bangs and whooshes when I can’t see the prettiness that goes with them, and hate even more when I’m out at night and suddenly there’s this huge bang out of nowhere and this thing explodes above my head without warning! I felt like I was living in the middle of a warzone before I left the house, so standing at the bus stop almost finished me off completely. …I’m afraid I am one of “those” who wouldn’t mind seeing private firework displays banned, in built up areas at least. Anyways, thankfully I survived this ordeal to tell the tale
The meal itself was good…though I have to say that in case the birthday girl reads this at any point don’t I?
