Had a great weekend
Walked home from work along the canal as it was so nice outside - the quay always looks lovely in the sunshine. Cycled to the Turf via Seven Stars yesterday so had more exercise without the sweaty men, fresh air and a Sunday lunch
Was really windy when we got to the Turf tho so we didn’t stay for long before cycling back but it was good to get out after spending Saturday playing WoW.
Have just finished reading the history of Warcraft actually - even if you aren’t into the games series, it’s good reading from a fantasy fan’s PoV too I think. Wonder if there’ll ever be a film made - it’d certainly work better than Streetfighter!
Looking forward to Starz tonight now - still can’t decide whether to go for fajitas or steak…. the only annoying thing about things you look forward to is that, once they’ve happened, you haven’t got them to look forward to any more
True you have memories which are nice but there’s nothing quite like the anticipation of something I think. I wish there was some way of freezing time when doing something you’d been looking forward to so you could enjoy it for that bit longer but then that’s the other bugger - time always passes quicker when you’re having fun!

Friday :D
11:16 amAs you can see, I’ve added a few more links to my blog - most of them are linked to from my site already but thought I might as well include them here too. I’m thinking of converting my entire site to Wordpress but I’m scared that I’ll ruin it somehow…..not 100% certain how the links between pages work, or how I’d manage to make my homepage the main page rather than my blog :S And then there’s the issue of themes - I like the way my site looks atm…..not wholly certain of how I’d carry that across the entire site in Wordpress… I’m sure these are all really stupid questions and are actually fairly easy issues to solve but there’s a part of me that’s clinging very strongly to the ‘ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ mentality atm!
Anyway, its another gorgeous day today
It feels like spring is here at last and we’ve actually been able to turn the heater off auto! This weekend we might be going for a cycle along the canal (if we can all sort out a day when we’re free) and then there’s much Wowing to be had of course
Am tempted to play about in my weeks of boredom and work on a site for our guild (with the other’s say so of course!) Last night Kev and I started new characters on a PVE server, playing Alliance in a guild of a friend of Kev’s who works on Psi. I have to say, whilst I have no intention of deserting our Horde guild and the character I’ve invested so many hours in, this new server seems so much friendlier than the PVP one we usually play on. People seem happy to help other people, and I don’t really miss the “lvl ?? x ganking in y!!!” announcements every five minutes
I think this shall be my rest character from now on anyway - so nice to be pretty!!!

Blog Version Upgrade
3:33 pmWell, I’ve just updated Cath’s version of Wordpress to the latest tarball. Hopefully the new moderation stuff will stop her getting quite as many silly spam comments, but who knows?

Well I had a good weekend - went to the Impy (local Wetherspoons) for dinner on Saturday with Kev and various people from Taekwon Do after their paintballing social (that bit I didn’t go to) and came back to have a very fun evening playing WoW with some random people I bumped into in-game
Spent Sunday playing some more and watched Casualty and Red Dwarf and had a generally quiet restful day
No calls from my various travelling family members either which was nice - parents sent an email tho.
Anyway, today is Monday and ahead of me are 5 weeks with no work to do and a lot of time in which to not do it
Why can’t I have a nice long Easter holiday aswell dammit?

The day after the weekend before
12:55 pmWell last weekend lived up to its expectations anyway
Had a very pleasant evening at the Offs (omg their flat is nice!!) and borrowed a book showing pictures of various deadly looking rides that I am expected to try out come September! Watched Supersize Me while we were there which proved an interesting insight into America, McDonalds and the dangers of fatty foods in general. 30 days on the ‘McDiet’ and the guy had gained 24.5 lbs and was well on the way to killing his liver!
Saturday was fun, altho Dave was poorly
Still, I think some fresh air and company helped and he came back to ours afterwards to come and admire Kev’s new Mac Mini and generally hang out
Yesterday was also fun - gorgeous lunch and was nice getting out of Exeter for a bit, although the travelling was a little tiring (and I wasn’t even driving!)
Parents are now in Brazil with my brother in Mexico - I’m hoping for three weeks of non-stress
You’d think it’d be difficult to create stress from across the ocean but this is my family and they can do it if they try hard enough!

Good times ahead!
11:48 amLast weekend (much needed) I bought Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason, Wimbledon and Les Miserables whilst Kev was in Manchester for TaeKwon Do stuff. The first two I got on a ‘Buy one, Get one half price deal’ at MVC and got money of that thanks to my MVC Card
The other one I had to resort to Virgin to get - just fancied having the complete set really: got the soundtrack, seen the musical, read the book - now I can watch the film
This weekend (also much needed) is going to be a lot more social - going to Roz and James (see the links to their blogs somewhere down the side) tonight for an Indian takeaway and general catching up, then probably off to Seven Stars for lunch tomorrow with another friend of ours and then its off to Wales on Sunday as I’ve been invited to a Mother’s Day Indian buffet - have been to the restaurant before and the food is fantastic! Best onion bhajis ever
Here’s to weekends - long may they reign
