Site update

7:53 pm

Wasn’t sure what to do with myself this evening so I decided to update my web page a bit - nothing major, just a bit of content really, but I’ve been meaning to for a while and now it’s done :)

Had a fantastic night last night - ball pools and slides are fun :D

Storms, sniffles and feelings of general bleh

11:58 am

It’s been one of those weeks this week. I’ve been feeling pretty rough for days now thanks to a combination of hayfever, teething problems (I wish my wisdom teeth would realise that they are never going to come through however often they try to!) and a lack of anything constructive to do at work. Well, anything full stop if I’m being honest. Also had a storm last night and I hate thunder and lightning :( It does at least feel a bit cooler now at least :)

It hasn’t all been bad mind - I’ve managed to get most of my birthday present shopping done after spending last Saturday in Torquay, and have just about got things sorted for Kev and Becky’s birthdays now :) I have also managed to aquire Grease for £3.99 which i thought was a bargain as I’ve always wanted to own that :D

Went to see Batman Begins this week too which was very good - Michael Caine was fantastic in it and added some light to an otherwise very dark film :) Saw Star Wars Episode III last week and enjoyed that aswell - good to see how Darth Vader became who he was and even though I’ve only seen maybe 3 of the 6 films I think I have a pretty good idea of the whole Star Wars story now, what with the KOTOR games and everything :)

Anyways, better get back to pretending to do the work I don’t have :S

Pizza, pollen and pathetic people

10:27 am

Pizza == good :D Have had it quite a few times lately, most recently yesterday when we went to see Dave’s new place :) It is *so* nice!! So much room and the balcony complete with view of the canal is a fanastic touch too :) Good evening all told :)

Slightly related to pizza, went to ASK, a nice Italian restaurant, for a friend’s birthday last Friday. Fun had by all, particularly the birthday girl who seemed very pleased with the *far bigger than I’d expected* poster of a Ferrari we got her (along with many cat themed pressies), and a bag of balls she’d been given along with a paddling pool, which I thought was an amazing idea for a present for her :D

Pollen == not so good :( Been suffering with hayfever since mid last week, although I am now taking antihistamines which seem to be helping. It seems to be particularly bad at work, where I’m sure the courtyard acts as one big pollen party! We went cycling to Seven Stars for lunch on Sunday with Dave - they’ve got a Sunday menu now including a roast snack which I think is a really good idea :) Basically, it’s roast chicken/beef in gravy in a baguette with roast potatoes, and it’s nom! Carried on cycling along the canal for a bit but hayfever got the better of us so we headed home - I actually cycled up the hill!!! Then collapsed and felt ick for a bit :)

Pathetic people == credit card fraudsters and personnel :( Had various transactions made on my credit card last week that I knew nothing about - still waiting for the most recent one to be reclaimed. And have just heard that my appeal date is on march 27th next sodding year! What good is that to me?? Honestly!

Wheeeeee :D

3:05 pm

Just paid the balance on our holiday!!! :D :D

*snuffle*

10:32 am

Got up at 6.30 today so I can leave work at 4 *and* go into town to pay for holiday (yes!) and lunchies - was in before 8 and was quite funny to hear my boss lock himself out by mistake when he assumed he was the first one in at 8.45 :)

Been feeling really snuffly since last night - everything is bunged up today :( Looking forward to getting home, drinking tea and watching tv/dozing this evening. Got another 5 and a half hours before hometime tho :(

Sooooo not in the mood to do anything resembling work ;(
