This morning, whilst making the obligatory first-thing-in-the-morning ‘while my computer warms up’ cuppa, someone remarked that I was rather chirpy – no mean feat for 8am on a cold, foggy winter morning when I haven’t even had my obligatory first-thing-in-the-morning ‘while my computer warms up’ cuppa yet! I’ve put this down to my previously referred to new hobby of collecting choirs that start with ‘S’ and the fact that yesterday was SUPERCHOIR day, the day formerly known as Wednesday, and was therefore spent getting to work bang on time so I could leave bang on time so I could get here bang on time to spend the evening catching up with choir peeps and singing things like this. Look fun? That’s pretty much because it is
Of course, yesterday having been yesterday means today is Thursday, and another evening spent doing harmony homework in readiness for what’s shaping up to be a Pretty Busy December in the hope that I manage not to (warning: extremely obvious musical pun coming up) be flat (I did warn you…). Not only is harmony homework a lot more fun than I remember homework being at school, but as an added bonus I have a genuine, rock solid, entirely valid reason for singing Christmas songs as often as I want to without having to wait until I’ve opened a few doors on my Advent calendar first! The reason being that, by the time I’ve opened a few doors on my Advent calendar, I’ll already have done one choir gig and have another one imminent.
Can anyone say Christmas Choirfest???
