No…. nothing to do with Doctor Who this time… although it IS Saturday and therefore only a matter of hours until someone in extreme peril will no doubt find themselves being told to do so because the sonic screwdriver’s on the blink again… the stuff sofas were made for
Sofas also make handy spots from which to watch the odd televised sporting event (seamless segue there, SEAMLESS…) and tomorrow I’ll be doing just that for tomorrow is London Marathon day!
I’ll be honest, running a marathon is not something I have ever felt much inclination to do… I did a half-marathon once but only because Kev had signed up to do it, my bridesmaid thought it’d be fun if we did it too, and my brain was afflicted by ‘bride-to-be-therefore-must-squeeze-into-an-expensive-white-dress’ syndrome. And now I get to say I did a half-marathon, go me!
I’d get to say I ran a half-marathon, but I’d be kinda lying…
Having managed to run about a third of half a marathon, I have the HUGEST admiration for anyone who enters a marathon, never mind manages to train for, turn up to, and actually complete one.
And that’s why I’m SUPERPROUD of my friends who’re doing the marathon for Tenovus even though race day hasn’t happened yet.
And that’s why I’ll be sat on the sofa cheering them on tomorrow
